Chief of staff
Are you passionate about social impact and social innovation? The Chief of Staff is an opportunity for an innovative problem solver to tackle on the grand challenges facing Africa. The role will be based in Kenya and will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer to develop the organization’s strategic plan, build the team’s capacity and develop a comprehensive performance measurement plan.

About Lapid Leaders Africa
Lapid Leaders Africa (LLA) is a nonprofit organization that exists to develop the next generation of African Leaders into transformational leaders in the marketplace. We make this possible by igniting prowess among Africa’s youth and delivering world-class leadership experiences that change mindsets, build self-awareness, and cultivate exceptional character and skills to lead in the marketplace.
Why our work matters:
A study conducted by the Inter-University Council of East Africa indicated that 60% of graduates from local universities are ill-equipped for the marketplace upon graduation. Yet 80% of African CEOs see lack of human capital as the biggest threat to the growth of businesses. This significant opportunity gap for college graduates who aren’t yet ready or prepared to join the workforce keeps economies moving slowly.
The “Lapid Experience” aims to close this gap between university education and the job market by improving participants’ job readiness. The experience provides young leaders with the skills and networks needed to succeed after university. Our long-term goal is to develop the future workforce leaders of Africa who will engage in the growth and development of businesses across Africa.
About 60% of the 800+ young leaders we have developed have been women. We have been recognized by the Africa Leadership Institute (a Ford Foundation grantee) as one of Africa’s top leadership development programs. Our Founder has been recognized as an Obama Foundation Fellow and is currently an Oprah Winfrey Foundation Scholar pursuing an Executive Master’s in Public Administration at New York University. She is passionate about Africa’s growth and development through financial services, education, and entrepreneurship. She has over 18 years of experience working in organizations such as PricewaterhouseCoopers Kenya and the United Kingdom, Africa Managers Initiative, and Guaranty Trust Bank Kenya Limited.
